Releases!

Releases, releases, releases! Finally, my latest finished stories are up on Feedbooks now.

You can see the description in the last post before this on, so here only the links and the titles:

I’m glad the editing is over and I can go back to writing now. I don’t agree completely with Dorothy Parker when it comes to writing. I don’t hate writing, although I do love having written. To me, the writing process itself is a adventure of sorts.

Update on my editing

Another little update from me. I didn’t get to finish any of the stories I thought I would finish, but I did start several new stories and I did finish one of them. So, now I’m editing these three stories:

Exile
When you meet the guy who wanted to rule earth, you can run away screaming - or start dating him. When you choose the latter, you should be prepared for strange happenings. (No outright smut, but suggestive suggestions.)

Lighting and Ice
What could have happened, had Loki not been left out to die by his father? Well, for one thing, he would be able to annoy Laufey to no end. He’d also be a crown prince and he wouldn’t be Thor’s brother - but, perhaps, his friend.

Political Marriage
A political marriage is supposed to keep Loki safe from his oldest brother Byleistr. But can anyone be safe in a realm filled with people who hate him? Especially if one’s own husband is among them? Loki, however, is nothing if not used to fight and to adapt.

Again, I only have Loki stories up, but one of the two I started writing is both smut and completely devoid of Loki. And there’s still my fairy tale, of course, which has a male fairy, but no Loki. Editing them and putting them out should be done by the end of this week or next week, depending on how much I have to change about them.

A short update

So, what have I been writing? What do I plan to finish soon? Here’s my list:

Exile
When you meet the guy who wanted to rule earth, you can run away screaming - or start dating him. When you choose the latter, you should be prepared for strange happenings. (No outright smut, but suggestive suggestions.)
This one is done, but not edited yet.

Lightning and Ice
What could have happened, had Loki not been left out to die by his father? Well, for one thing, he would be able to annoy Laufey to no end. He’d also be a crown prince and he wouldn’t be Thor’s brother - but, perhaps, his friend.
This one is also done, but not edited.

Reincarnation
All gods have died in Ragnarok and been reborn on earth. To return back home, the strongest three need to open the gates again. But how do you find three specific gods on today’s earth? And what happens once they’re found?
About one and a half chapter left to write, if I’m lucky and don’t have to add another.

Dark Maiden
Loki meets his significant other in the middle of a war - and she’s on the other side. What happens when two strong people with a dark side each stop being enemies and start being lovers?
A few chapters left to write, I hope to tackle it in one go.

Fairly-Struck (working title)
We all know the story of Sleeping Beauty, of course - the evil fairy godmother, the curse, the thorn hedge, the prince. But what happened afterwards, apart from ‘happily ever after?’ And was it the way the fairy tale makes us believe? A princess will be devastated by the truth.
Still some work on that one, was stuck on a jump in time the last time I worked on it, but I’m sure I can finish it (and find a better title).

I might get stuck a little for a few more days, that often happens after I finish a story, because I have to wrap my mind around the next thing to write. But I am definitely going to finish those stories.

Releases and Updates

Time for another update on my writing. I’ve finished copy-editing four stories and put them at Feedbooks (see the links on the left). I’ve also changed and updated my website Quitter’s Ink. Now it contains my stories, including links to the free downloads. Those are the new stories:

Servant of Life (The Loki Files #6):
The Trickster of Asgard has been tamed, at least partially. But what will it take for him to sit on the throne of Asgard? Crisis and chaos, that’s what. Disease is sweeping through the realm, but where did it come from and how can it be fought? Ruling was never Loki’s preferred occupation, but when he’s the only one in the family not sick, he has to keep the throne occupied. And he has to rely on his agents to find out what’s going on.

Exiled to earth for a crime barely worth mentioning, only to be drawn into an intrigue two hundred years later. For Loki, that’s almost business as usual, has been since he was a child and came to grow up with the mighty Odin. But why is a young mortal the key to an intrigue that could plunge Asgard into chaos? Is there something in the blood?

You can get used to a boring life dedicated to work and being the ‘friend’ of a beautiful woman. Janet Blake certainly has. Then a strange ‘specimen’ is brought to the research facility she’s working in. A man with blue eyes and a silver tongue turns her life upside down, saves it, and claims it as a price. And that is just half the story of the chained god. (Warning: This story contains smut. Read at your own risk.)

Being exiled isn’t fun. It shouldn’t be, at any rate. However, being ‘forced’ to play a normal student at a college beats being ‘the other guy’ behind the crown prince. Loki is rather happy with his ‘new’ life - until his brother gets himself exiled as well. Living under one roof isn’t easy at first, but it surely brings the princes of Asgard back together - much to the dismay of Asgard’s enemies.

I’m working on more stories, but they are not done yet. After weeks of mostly copy-editing, I’m finally returning to writing … YAY for that.

Update again...

Okay, here’s another short update on my stories. I’m currently in the process of copy editing four stories for publishing. Those are:

Servant of Life (The Loki Files #6)
In the Blood (another Loki, another reality)
Chained God (yet another reality, told from a different point of view)
Living Conditions (a little buddy story, not related to the Loki Files)

I’m also working on a few more stories, some of which might be done soon. Dark Maiden is already developed pretty far, I’m even past the eight chapters I usually set at the beginning. Lighting and Ice has been haunting my thoughts for a while. Marriage Arrangements will probably turn out ok in the end, but I’m not actively working on it. There’s other stories I have partially or fully penned out, but not started writing yet.

I’m also working on my own website, but my software is not cooperating well. Once I’ve done that, I will couple it with my FB page (yes, quite some things have changed) and use it to present my stories better.

The muse is still pressing on, but she’s been good enough not to push me that hard lately, giving me more leeway. Thanks for that, dear muse!
